As the late theologian Henry Nouwen noted, a friend who can be silent with us in a moment of grief and bereavement, who can tolerate not-knowing, not-curing, not-healing and face with us the reality of our powerlessness, that is the friend who cares.

Old St. Patrick’s Funeral Ministry hopes to accompany our members in their desire to honor a loved one. We accompany family members in the wake of a death, i.e., attending the wake; helping to facilitate funeral arrangements between the family and the staff of Old St. Patrick’s; affording hospitality at the funeral Liturgy; or following-up with the family in the weeks after the death.
