Confirmation
The next day, John was by the Jordan again with two of his disciples.
Seeing Jesus walk by, John said, Look! There is the Lamb of God! The
two disciples heard what Jesus said and followed Jesus. When Jesus
turned around and noticed them following, he asked them, “What
are you looking for?” They replied, Rabbi, which means “Teacher”
where are you staying? Come and see, Jesus answered. So they went
to see where he was staying, and they spent the rest of the day with
him.
—John 1:35-39
Old St. Pat’s traditionally begins to prepare students for the sacrament of Confirmation while in seventh grade and the program ends in November of the eighth grade. Students receive instruction through the Partners Religious Education Program and Frances Xavier Warde School. For more information, please

Adult Confirmation Preparation
Have you been baptized and received your first Holy Communion in the Catholic tradition, but never received the Sacrament of Confirmation? If you are interested in being confirmed this year, please call Keara Coughlin at 312.798.2328, or e-mail her at kearac@oldstpats.org to set up an appointment to discuss this process.
Confirmation preparation sessions are held in the Fr. Jack Wall Mission Center, 711 W. Monroe. The celebration of Confirmation will take place at Old St. Patrick’s Church during the summer on a date yet to be determined. Please call or email Keara for further questions.
