Liturgical Ministry
At the heart of Old St. Patrick's mission to create and host prayer
and worship experiences that intensify our awareness of our communion
with God and with each other is a special group of people - a diverse
group of lay ministers.
As a liturgical minister at Old St. Pat's you will be asked to participate
in an orientation and training session as well as periodic on-going
formation sessions. Time commitment and scheduling is flexible
and can accommodate your availability on a monthly basis.
Committed people are needed as:
- Ministers of the Word (Lectors)
proclaim the first
and second readings and/or the prayers of the faithful.
- Extra-Ordinary Ministers (Eucharistic Ministers)
distribute
communion.
- Hospitality Ministers
welcome the members and friends
of Old St. Patrick's, distribute worship aids and bulletins, orchestrate
the gift bearers and collection; and attend to special circumstances/needs
of those in attendance.
Please consider a commitment to our Liturgical ministry. With our Liturgies
and services enriched by the gifts of many diverse ministers and ministries
we are able to worship more prayerfully together and share this experience
with the larger Church.

Altar Server Program
All sixth, seventh, and eighth grade boys and girls are invited to consider joining the Altar Server Program—a wonderful way to involve our middle school members in the Liturgy.
The Altar Servers assist at the 9:30 a.m. Family Masses and a select few other Masses throughout the year (Christmas Eve, visits from the Cardinal, School Dedication, etc.).
Please contact the coordinators of the program: Bob Hernandez at hernandi@imsa.edu, or Susie Klein at susie.klein@me.com to become an altar server, or for more information about the program.
