What is the Sunday Giving Commitment?
The Sunday Giving Commitment is our name for ordinary Sunday giving. At Old St. Patrick’s, the primary component of Sunday giving is an annual pledge made by members. By making a pledged offering for the coming year, you are able to plan ahead, while Old St. Pat’s is also able to plan and be a good steward of your resources. The Sunday Giving Commitment is the sole resource to support the ordinary operation of Old St. Pat’s - from the basic requirements of the campus, to the various outreach programs, to the joy and celebration of Mass on Sunday. All of these opportunities are made possible through your faithful support and commitment.

Did you know…
- Each year Old St. Patrick’s welcomes an average of 52 individuals into the Catholic faith through the RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) program.
- There are approximately 40 events or meetings held on the Old St. Pat’s campus each week. That’s 160 events each month!
- During the 2007-2008 school year the Family Ministry programs, Partners, Foundations Youth Ministry and Blueprints included approximately 300 families and a total of 570 students participating!
- The programs within The Center for Social Concerns (703 W. Monroe St.) have a combined annual operating budget of over $6 million. In order for these vibrant missions to focus their funds and efforts on what they do best – effect positive change in greater society – you, the members of Old St. Patrick’s, support the operating needs to lease and maintain The Center, pay for utilities and provide custodial service with an annual investment of $165,000. That’s a great rate of return!
It is the support of the Sunday Giving Commitment that guarantees the continuation of these and so many more spiritually life-giving, community building programs.
