"A Vision for Tomorrow"
~ St. Patrick's Day Celebration Marked with Celtic Song, Dance and Story ~
WHAT:
Old St. Patrick's Church hosts the 14th annual Siamsa na nGael program entitled "A Vision for Tomorrow" on Tuesday, March 16. This unique event specifically honors the feast of St. Patrick and highlights world class Celtic entertainment. This year, we will have two special guest narrators, including Sister Rosemary Connelly, Director of Misericordia and a well-known humanitarian and social justice advocate and Award Winning Journalist CBS 2's Mike Flannery. This year's program explores the stories of those who left their homes in Ireland to build schools, churches, hospitals and universities here in Chicago.
WHO:
Guests will enjoy performances by the Metropolis Symphony Orchestra, Old St. Patrick's Concert Choir, Trinity Irish Dance Company, Soloists Catherine O'Connell, Liam Lawton, Terese Cullen, Kate Wilde, Frances Xavier Warde Children's Choir, Misericordia Heart Signers, and many more. Event chairs for this benefit are Mayor Richard and Maggie Daley and Patrick and Shirley Ryan.
