A Valentine’s Invitation

On Saturday, February 11 at 6 p.m. we will host our Annual Valentine’s Day Mass and Renewal of Marriage Vows.  Invariably, it is a breathtakingly beautiful, tender, poignant and enjoyable evening.  It is the kind of evening, that, when it is over you find yourself thinking of all the people you wish could have enjoyed it with you.  Thus our invitation… we do not want to end the evening missing you.  If you were married two weeks ago or 52 years ago — if you were married at Old St. Pat’s or elsewhere, we would be honored and delighted to share this celebration with you!  In our mind’s eye, we can see and hear you whispering your vows to each other, each of your faces illuminated by candle light…and it is a site to behold!

Speaking of Marriage Vows…sort of by way of a “warm-up” exercise, Fr. Tom and Terry will facilitate an Afternoon of Reflection in anticipation of our Liturgy.  Together, we hope to Contemplate, Wrestle With, Chuckle Over and Become Quieted by these poetic phrases that continue to surprise, provoke, stretch and humble us…

The afternoon should prove to be both a Provocative Challenge and a Joyful Affirmation of the Mystery of Marriage.  Join us for some really “Good Church.”

Afternoon of Reflection Program
Saturday, February 11

2  – 5:30 p.m. Afternoon of Reflection

6 p.m. Celebration of Eucharist – Valentine’s Day Mass and Renewal of Marriage Vows, followed by a wine/beer and hors d’oeuvres reception in the Church Hall.
