Partner’s Religious Education

It’s been said that it takes a village to raise a child.  Here at Old St. Patrick’s we believe it takes a community to help us on the journey to “get” to God. With this in mind, the Partners Program was created to form a connection with parents to bring religious education to the children in our community.  Its aim is to assist, support, and facilitate parents’ endeavors to cultivate a rich experience of God with and in their children.

The Partners Program offers thematic classes for children in preschool through Confirmation.  Classes run September through May.  This year the Partners Program will be a twist of the Old St. Pat’s theme:  Life without Borders.  Our focus will be “Make a Difference:  Be a Hero.  …Cape and Mask Not Needed.” Classes are held from 10:45 to 12:00 in the Frances Xavier Warde School (FXWS) classrooms on the first and third Sundays of the month from October through May.  The teaching staff is a volunteer group made up of some professional teachers, parents, and others interested in helping our children learn about God.

The Partners Program offers children an understanding of God, the Church, sacraments, religious holidays, and values.  The teachers use stories from Sacred Scriptures and religious textbooks in the classes.  Parents are strongly encouraged to participate in classes/lectures on the first Sunday of each month to help develop the monthly theme at home and foster the partnership.

One child: $360

Early Bird Pricing is $260 – a savings of $100 for those who register on or before May 31, 2013
Each additional child: $150
Sacramental Fees: $75

Note: Confirmation is a 13 month program, beginning traditionally in September of 7th grade and continuing through November of 8th grade. The sacramental fee ($75) is paid in 7th grade. Incoming Confirmation students are referred to as CONFIRMATION 2014 as they make their Confirmation in the Fall of 2014.

Please note that those who will make their Confirmation in October of 2013 will automatically continue on to the 8th Grade BluePrints Program where their focus will be on living out the gifts of the Holy Spirit.
